What are your hours for u-pick? For any of our fruit and vegetable crops we don’t like to start before 10:00 AM. This allows time for the evening condensation to evaporate. Picking when the vines are wet is one way to spread diseases. We don’t want to do that. We close the strawberry patch from Noon to 6:00 PM. On hot days, we irrigate at Noon to cool the field. We reopen from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM when it is cooler and more comfortable for u-picking.

Do you have rest rooms? Mostly yes. We have a rest room at the stand for our customers, and as a rule we have a porta-john where we are picking berries.

Do you have wild animals where we will be picking? Plenty of deer around, seldom see them during the day. For the last few years our crops have been guarded by a Bald Eagle. Plenty of song birds to look at and listen to.

Do we allow kids in our berry patches? We have a practicing grandmother on the premises; therefore, you know kids are welcome. Yes, they can help pick. We do ask that they stay in the row. NO ROW JUMPING. This cuts down on fruit getting stepped on. On top of each of our fruit and vegetable rows there is drip tap. This is used to water the crops. Stepping on this or tripping on it can cause us problems. Watering our crops this way helps to cut down on diseases. We may also be watering when you are picking. In the blueberry patch, we have wires for the speakers that broadcast bird distress calls to keep the birds off the blueberries. Just be careful of the wires!

Do we accept credit cards? Not at this time. We do take good ole cash and good checks.

Can we bring our own containers? Yes, we charge by the pound. We just have to weigh you in. We always have containers available to sell for you to pick in.

What are the Farmstand hours? Our hours at the Farmstand are Monday-Saturday 10:00-6:00 and Sunday 10:00-5:00.
